#CTHopeInAction The CT RACE IN THE PARK returns in-person to beautiful Walnut Hill Park this Mother’s Day Weekend.  The beloved annual tradition is back and better than ever!  Participants can support this great cause and be a part of the action by choosing from the 5K Run or the 4K/1 Mile Walk.

Kids are encouraged to get in on the action too and sign up for the Kids Fun Run.

-OR- Run/walk a 5K at your leisure and at your desired location May 6th – May 8th, post your race time and compete with supporters from around the world!

REGISTRATION:

Register for the 2022 CT RACE IN THE PARK to get moving and support a great cause!  Choose from the following events to be a part of the this amazing event:

FEES:

  • • Opening Special: February 1 - February 14
    • • Adult (18+) = $26
    • • Youth (13-17 years old) = $20 / (5-12 years old) = $15
  • • Early Fee: February 15 - March 31
    • • Adult (18+) = $31
    • • Youth (13-17 years old) = $20 / (5-12 years old) = $15
  • • Standard Fee: April 1 - April 30
    • • Adult (18+) = $36
    • • Youth (13-17 years old) = $20 / (5-12 years old) = $15
  • • Race Week: May 1 - May 7

    • • Youth (13-17 years old) = $25 / (5-12 years old) = $20
  • • Kids Fun Runs (Ages 0-12) = $12
  • • Virtual 5K Run / Walk = $30

*The CT RACE IN THE PARK is not owned by the Hartford Marathon Foundation (HMF), therefore HMF deferment codes are not valid for use during the registration process.

The CT Breast Health Initiative is proud to be partnering with the Hartford Marathon Foundation this year to bring you registration for the CT RACE IN THE PARK.

If you are having trouble registering online and need immediate assistance, you may contact [email protected] or by phone, 844-299-2087, Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. Or, you may send an email to [email protected] and a staff person will provide assistance by reply email.

Participants can confirm they have registered by logging into their HAKU PARTICIPANT ACCOUNT

To begin, input the email address used at the time of registration. Once logged-in, you can view your upcoming events, suggested events, and, if applicable, change events and manage or view teams and others that you’ve registered.

PACKET PICKUP:

All participants must show a Photo ID to pick up their packets (parent/guardian of minors must show ID).

Friday, May 6 (Day Before RACE): 12 PM to 6 PM, Walnut Hill Park, New Britain, CT

Saturday, May 7 (RACE Day): 6:30 AM to 10 AM, Walnut Hill Park, New Britain, CT

• Online and in-person registration remains open until 30 minutes before each specific event starts

Note: To designate someone to pick up another runner’s event packet, the designee must bring or show a copy of this signed waiver/permission slip. Photocopies or phone pictures of the form will be accepted.

UPGRADES:

LONG SLEEVE TECH SHIRT:

In addition to the perks referenced above, participants are welcome to upgrade their experience and purchase the official CT BHI technical long sleeve shirt for just $25 (per shirt). Visit the Merchandise Tent in the park to get yours and check out other great items!

MAIL MY PACKET:

For the convenience of runners who plan to come to New Britain on Saturday only, the mail my packet option is available during online registration for $15 per packet and must be reserved by April 10, 2022. If you purchase my packet, you can expect to receive your packet by May 1st.

If you are interested in any of the above listed upgrades, use the following steps to add them to your event day experience:

SURVIVOR BREAKFAST GUEST TICKETS:

New in 2022! Registered survivors for the CT RACE IN THE PARK now have the option to bring a guest to the Survivor breakfast with them, for just $15 (per guest)! Must be registered Survivor, limit 1, can be purchased at the entrance to the Survivor Tent.

REFUND PROTECTION:

New in 2022! Refund Protection is available for purchase at the time of registration only.

Please note that refundable booking claims will be administered by the Protect Group, not by the Hartford Marathon Foundation or Connecticut Breast Health Initiative.  If opting to add refund protection during event registration, participants pay an additional service fee of 14% of all items purchased, excluding event processing fees. Registered participants who have purchased refund protection and are unable to participate in the race for a wide range of covered scenarios will receive a 100% refund of their entry fee and ancillary purchases within 10 business days of the claim submission.

PARKING & BUS TRANSPORTATION:

Pre/post race activities, as well as race start & finish will take place in and around Walnut Hill Park in New Britain, Connecticut.

Note: Carpooling encouraged.  Use the garages above, parking at and around Walnut Hill Park is very limited. 

SHUTTLE BUS TRANSPORTATION:

Complimentary shuttle bus transportation from the above mentioned parking garages to Walnut Hill Park will be available on race day for all registered participants. The shuttle bus transportation will drop off and pick up participants adjacent to the Walnut Hill Park Bandshell, on Grand Street.
