The mission of the CT Breast Health Initiative, Inc. is to make a difference locally in the fight against breast cancer through education and research.

CT BHI recognizes a volunteer/survivor in a leadership position who has made a significant contribution to the growth and viability of the organization in a unique capacity.

2010 Nominee – Jim Malone

With his enthusiastic commitment to the organization he has contributed his technology knowledge and data management experience, updating our operating and communications systems, computers, website, and social media.  His presence and dedication is truly indispensable.

CTBHI recognizes a volunteer of longtime commitment and who has fostered and maintained relationships of importance to the signature fundraising arm of the organization (RACE IN THE PARK) as exemplified by its first awardee.

For her unswerving 10+ year commitment to consistently raising awareness of Breast Cancer, CTBHI, and the RACE.  Through her creative and energetic fund raising efforts CTBHI has been the recipient of her big heartedness, loyalty and phenomenal financial benefits.

CTBHI recognizes a superior volunteer for his/her commitment, support, dedication, expertise, resourcefullness, big heartedness, and who has continually exceeded expectations.

2010 Nominee – Louise Belkin

For 16 years as a dedicated volunteer and for the past 7 years as the steward of both CTBHI and RACE funds, handling them with honesty, integrity and fiscal responsibility.  For sharing her husband Howard with us who had a vision of raising funds for our cause on a golf course and having fun.  And for continuing his dream in memoriam.
