18th Annual 2022 Howard H. Belkin Memorial Golf Tournament

The CT Breast Health Initiative’s mission is to make a difference locally in the fight against breast cancer by providing grants to support education and research. One hundred percent of money raised by CT BHI stays in Connecticut, the only program of its kind in the state.

CT BHI funds (seed money) new research which is an important precurser to large privately or federally funded studies, specifically in the areas of breast cancer diagnosis, treatment and survivorship quality of life.

Help us support the Lymphedema Program

The CT Breast Health Initiative has been proud to support the Hospital of Central Connecticut’s (HOCC) Breast Health Program through grants over the past two years. HOCC’s Breast Health Program promotes lymphedema awareness by providing information and education to the community and medical professionals. In addition Breast Health services are supported to assist breast cancer patients who are uninsured, under-insured, have a high-deductible health insurance and/or have limited financial means. This Grant will help patients access Lymphedema compression garments, bandaging supplies and therapies. HOCC’s Breast Rehabilitation Team consists of highly-trained rehabilitative therapists, educated and trained about lymphedema. They provide personalized, coordinated care to each individual patient to help reduce, minimize and treat the painful symptoms of lymphedema caused by breast cancer.
